Facebook selects first country director for Singapore

Sandhya Devanathan has been selected as Singapore country director for Facebook

Facebook has promoted Sandhya Devanathan to the role of country director for Singapore, a newly created role for the social network's Singapore operations.

She joined Facebook in January, first holding responsibility for certain key verticals in south-east Asia as group director including e-commerce, travel and FinServ. She was promoted to her new role in August.

Prior to Facebook, Devanathan held a number of senior roles at finance brands in the region, most recently as managing director of retail banking products at Standard Chartered Bank.

She has also held several senior roles across Citi's business in India, the Philippines and the US.
