In a case of art imitating life, Miles Jacobson head of games development studio Sports Interactive (SI), claimed that the football manager simulator will try to predict the in-game effects of the Brexit.

The Telegraph reports that the game will generate several scenarios that could result from the Brexit vote – around the triggering of Article 50 and the resulting question of Scottish Independence.

Jacobson said that if felt right to have the Brexit implemented in the game as it will throw up several hurdles for clubs and players, around work permits, currency fluctuations and more. Furthermore, its a wild card figure absent from previous installations of the game.

To accurately reflect how the vote could change the sporting landscape the SI engaged in research and mapped the many possible outcomes. It will use artificial intelligence to map the probabilities of each outcome, potentially giving users a different experience each time they boot up a new game.
