The Drum Network has launched ‘Create Britain’ ahead of Do It Day next month (10th November).

The Drum Network came together with creatives and strategists from Gravity Thinking, Missouri Creative, Dog and That Lot to come up with the concept of ‘Create Britain’.

When more than half (52 per cent) of the population voted to leave the European Union earlier this year, the remain supporters in the UK were left feeling disenfranchised and misrepresented. The majority of this group are the youth of today who are shaping the future – in particular, the marketing and advertising industry.

Global history has been made, the full impact of which will not be known for some time. We are amidst an uncertain political and economic time that has caused a negative ripple effect across industries globally.

The Drum Network asks the advertising and marketing world to encourage investors, and talent alike, to continue to champion Britain as the inclusive, open, diverse and eclectic hub of creative talent that is always has been, and always will be, despite the cloud Brexit has cast.

The UK’s creative industry is still thriving and open for business; we have the same talent, skill set, people, ambition and reputation when it comes down to creativity.

So, what is Create Britain?

Create Britain is an interactive, digital map that will enable organisations from the creative industry to contribute a short video expressing eccentric creativity, to demonstrate why Britain is still a huge creative player on the global stage. Businesses will be able to put their pin on the map, which will link to their video and website. They are encouraged to accept an intern from overseas to work in their agency, to promote further diversity and talent within the UK’s creative industry.

Developed and designed by digital agency Dog and creative agency Missouri Creative, the Create Britain website will be ready to accept videos by Do It Day on 10th November.

The Drum Network is calling on the creative industry to populate the Create Britain site, to celebrate and promote our creative future by demonstrating togetherness and inclusiveness. By bringing together the creative industry from all towns and cities across the UK, Create Britain will display the continued strength and diversity of the UK as a creative force, post-Brexit.
