Health nuts get a glimpse into their future in playful Nature’s Bounty ads

In Nature’s Bounty’s latest campaign, the vitamin and supplement brand doesn’t spend time any time running through a humdrum list of product health benefits. Instead, in three tongue-in-cheek spots created by Droga5, the company shows why your future self will thank you for taking Nature’s Bounty’s products.

One ad shows a man who takes probiotics to help with digestion and prevent gas so his future self won’t have to worry about getting into an embarrassing situation if he gets stuck on a stalled subway or crowded elevator during the day. But when he glimpses into the future and sees himself inexplicably stuck in an air duct with a crowd of firefighters and colleagues laughing at him, he realizes that it’s not just transportation he needs to worry about.

In a second ad, a young women who takes Nature’s Bounty Fish Oil to keep her heart healthy gets to see her future self running on a futuristic treadmill. While her future self thanks her for living a healthy lifestyle, she has some harsh words about what her love life has in store.

Another ad shows a woman who has decided to take a hair, skin and nails supplement. When she peeks into the future, she thinks the supplement has helped transform her into a model – but then finds out that her windswept look is simply the result of an office air vent.

The campaign, which is Droga5’s first for Nature’s Bounty, is running on broadcast and online. Nature’s Bounty is owned by vitamin and nutrition company NBTY, which Droga5 won last year. Since the win, the agency has rolled out campaigns for a number of NBTY brands, including Sundown Naturals and Osteo Bi-Flex.
