Oreo is continuing to build on its 'Wonderfilled' line of flavours, inviting fans to vote for what the next spin on its classic cookie should be.

The snack maker wants customers to decide between four flavour options including: Lemon Twist, Coconut Delight, Banana Splash and Brownie Batter. The winning choice will hit supermarket shelves in time for summer 2017, with biscuit lovers allowed to cast one vote per-day for the duration of the voting stage which will close on 15 October.

Oreo has been building upon its selection of products for the past few years, diversifying into the Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Mint and limited edition Strawberry Cheesecake categories.

The company's senior brand manager, Helen Potter, said that the vote was inspired by how "fascinated" Oreo fans are by its international variations, which include Watermelon and Birthday Cake.

"The public vote is our way of saying we have listened to our fans and think their opinion is the most important when it come to the latest addition to the flavours range and the perfect way to choose our next limited edition flavour available next year. We can’t wait to see which will come out on top," she finished.

The latest stunt follows on from a multi-channel £3.4m UK campaign launched by the Mondelez-owned firm in August which included an 'Oreo Flavour Mobile' on London's Southbank.
