The Martin Agency hires Amber Guild as New York managing director

Guild joins from brand consultancy Collins, where she served as president. In her new role, she will report to The Martin Agency’s CEO Matt Williams and will be tasked with growing the Richmond-based shop’s New York office, which currently has 39 employees and works with brands including Kayak.

She will work alongside James Robinson, who joined Martin New York as its first executive creative director last year after serving as co-chief creative officer at TwoFifteenMcCann.

“Amber is that one-in-a-million leader. Her track record of business growth and culture building speaks for itself,” said Robinson in a statement. “And in our first conversation she had completely reshaped not only how we are currently looking at Martin New York, but created a new vision for what we can become. We are lucky to have her.”

Before joining Collins, Guild served as managing director of T3’s New York office. Throughout her career, she has also held senior roles at agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather.

“I have long admired The Martin Agency and their ability to create work that not only has an incredible impact on their clients’ business but that they do it in a way that is both responsible and respectful to the people who create it, and to the people who are inspired by it,” said Guild in a statement.
