Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of North Korea now has (parody) LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, both the work of mischievous creatives looking to raise awareness of the controversial state's work camps.

The satirical campaign for Liberty in North Korea (Link), a group looking to “fund a modern-day underground railroad bringing North Korean refugees to freedom,” comes from creative collective called Part Time Lab.

The agency, led by founder and art director Lee Tomic, enlisted the aid of three Miami ad school students and a US comedy writer to shine a light on the alleged brutal working conditions imposed on citizens of the hermit state.

On the LinkedIn profile, a fictional Jong Un modestly claims: “I enjoyed my time as a leader in the military as well as being chair of the Military Commission. All my experiences enable me to lead and have a pure vision for North Korea. Outside of my duties I am very interested in American basketball, NBA and video games. My favorite player is Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls.”

However, the profile is also being used to 'recruit' labourers for the nation’s work camps, and also seeks child labour.

The campaign is being driven under #TheGreatestRecruit and is also accompanied with a YouTube and Twitter account.

On why he got involved with the drive, Tomic, said: “Recently, we saw a slew of articles about more and more people escaping from North Korea. We like the thought of Kim Jong Un seeing North Koreans escape from their home country.”

The campaign accepts donations to help fund the railroad, with each segment of the campaign ultimately leading back to this page.
