Beth Goss hired as new chief brand officer for 20th Century Fox

A newly created position at 20th Century Fox film was awarded to Beth Goss, who was hired to become chief brand officer (CBO) for the studio, Stacey Snider, chairman and CEO of 20th Century Fox Film announced today.

As chief brand officer, Goss will manage the Fox film brands including current releases and library titles and those projects in development. In her role, Goss will collaborate with the studio’s key divisions to help steward the studio’s franchises, brands and event properties to optimize the various global marketing and distribution opportunities.

Goss has served as a consultant to the studio for the last few months. She previously founded and led 8.Eight Entertainment, a content distribution consultancy dedicated to identifying and maximizing media platforms for key entertainment brands.

Prior to 8.Eight, Goss served as the EVP of Cartoon Network/[adultswim]. Before that, she worked at NBCUniversal, where she led a global organization that maximized NBCUniversal's intellectual properties while developing strategic plans for the core franchises of the organization. Goss also has experience in international film and television distribution from her stint with PolyGram Filmed Entertainment. Goss began her career in advertising holding senior positions at a variety of ad agencies. She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
