President Obama did it in 2014 to talk healthcare. Now, Hillary Clinton, who has been accused of not really having much of a sense of humor, has made an appearance on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis — and serious points to her for going along with it. Much like all of the Funny Or Die show episodes, the jokes are dense and the discomfort is palpable.

Galifianakis includes riffs on pantsuits, gun control, being the first “girl president,” being “down with TPP” and an ask at the end of the show as to the best way for the host to get in touch with her (“e-mail?”).

But the best bits of the show are reserved for (sigh) Donald Trump with Galifianakis saying, “Let’s talk about Trump.” — with Clinton responding, “Oh, let’s.” Kid Rock becoming secretary of state, Michelle Obama writing Melania Trump’s wedding vows and losing the Scott Baio vote are particularly rich. Galifianakis also ran a Trump ad (cutting Clinton off mid-sentence) saying that he was paid in steaks (“It’s a good cut of the meat. I think it’s part of the asshole.”)

Doing satire isn't anything new for politicians or Clinton herself, having made appearances of Saturday Night Live, but this one is certainly new, welcome territory for the Democratic nominee.

“I really regret doing this,” laments Clinton during the show.

We don’t.

This stuff is gold.
