Follow our step by step guide below on how to get verified on twitter and you should be on your way to getting verified.
Step 1) Missing information
Before you apply to get verified on Twitter you must have the following on your account:
- Verified phone number
- Confirmed email address
- Bio
- Profile photo
- Header photo
- Birthday
- Website
- Public tweets (private accounts can't get verified)
Fill any missing information on your Twitter account settings page
Step 2) Apply to get verified
Once you are sure that you have all your info complete, request Twitter to verify your account to start the process. The account you are logged in with will automatically be filled in the form, confirm that this is correct and if this account is for a company, brand or organization, tick the relevant box on the page.
Step 3) Authenticity & Relevance
You will need to provide at least two websites that can help verify the authenticity of the account. According to twitter "choose sites that help express the account holder’s newsworthiness or relevancy in their field."
You will also need to provide a short description of why you feel this account should be verified, according to twitter "If it represents a corporation or company, let us know their mission."
Step 4) Review & Submit
Review the information you have provided to Twitter, if you are happy with it, you can go ahead and click submit. If not, then click back and change any info you need.
Step 6) Wait for your verification to be accpeted
