Android Police has been busy of late, with the expectation that Google’s new Pixel smartphone will be launched in the coming weeks. But, according to the site and The Verge, the world may have gotten a sneak peek of the devices through two leaks — the first in a Nest spot that aired in the Netherlands and the second through photos from “Anonymous Alligator.” There’s no word on authenticity of the photos but where there’s smoke…there’s a Galaxy Note 7…kidding. Kind of.

The Verge also pointed out that GSMArena caught a case-maker with a similar mockup.

Oh, the intrigue!

Regardless, Android Police has unearthed potential pricing for the new phone, with it possibly starting at $649, and they will not be Nexus devices, but the beginning of a new line of Pixel-branded devices. Like the Nexus phones, the new line will be manufactured by HTC and be available in 5 and 5.5-inch models.

It is expected that the announcement for the new Pixel phones will be on October 4th — in addition to a raft of other nifty things coming out of Mountain View.
