20th Century Fox is taking the current demand for cinematic action heroes and running with it by transforming former Marvel Comics president Stan Lee into a 70’s era action hero.

This premise has been made possible by the studio’s acquisition of Lee’s life rights, enabling them to make Lee the hero of the piece.

Reportedly adopting a madcap action comedy routine in a similar vein to Kingsman: The Secret Service the film faces a tough ask in keeping Lee’s army of devoted fans happy.

Lee is credited with having created with having created some of the best-loved comic book heroes; notably Spider-man, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, sparking consternation from writer-artists such as Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby that he’s unfairly hogged all the credit for crafting the Marvel universe.
