Zambezi names Janine Zaim as its first director of recruiting

LA agency Zambezi has brought on Janine Zaim to serve as its first director of recruiting, the latest in a string of new hires at the agency.

Janine Zaim

Zaim joins from Pereira & O’Dell, where she served as director of recruiting for their New York and San Francisco offices. In her new role, she will be tasked with securing new talent as well as managing the agency’s employee initiatives and policies.

Her appointment follows other recent hires at the independent shop, including Justice Erolin’s appointment as partner & executive director of technology and Josie Brown’s appointment as executive director-marketing and business development.

“Zambezi is on an exciting trajectory,” said Zaim in a statement. “The people here are amazing and creative; there’s a great energy flowing through these walls, and a family-like culture that makes it really stand out from other agencies. I’ll be bringing in dynamic talent in every department, and also working with current employees to keep them growing and engaged as the agency evolves. I’m here to help shape the face of talent at Zambezi. That’s my ultimate goal.”

Since it was founded 10 years ago, Zambezi has worked with a number of brands, including Autotrader, Vitamin Water and Foot Locker. Recently, the agency created a TV spot for The Venetian, as well as an interactive installation for Autotrader that let people project their clothing colors onto a car.
