Donald Trump has launched another attack on the press, the New York Times is the latest outlet to land within his sights after it ran a critical piece on his presidential campaign.

After the newspaper said the Trump campaign is ironically "failing" to tame Trump, the presidential candidate in turn said the publication was failing.

A feature named ‘Inside the Failing Mission to Save Donald Trump From Himself’ invoked anger from the Donald after it argued that his campaign is spiralling out of control as he has “grown only more volatile and prone to provocation,” citing his long, long list of gaffes that would likely derail a normal candidate.

In response to the piece Trump attacked the “failing… newspaper of fiction,” before adding "their stories about me always quote non-existent unnamed sources. Very dishonest!"

The article claimed to have interviewed 20 anonymous Republicans close to the campaign for an inside look at the Donald’s operation.

The Trump campaign has been revoking press passes to critical media outlets, the Washington Post and Buzzfeed are among those on the blacklist.
