A man is journeying through the UK from the southernmost to northernmost point from the comfort of his own home, using an exercise bike and a Galaxy Gear VR kit.

With his Galaxy Gear hooked up to Google maps, Aaron Puzey is traveling from Land's End to John o' Groats, spending half an hour a day on his bike.

The cyclist has been documenting his journey on a blog called Cycle VR, discussing what he says and uploading video and photo highlights.

He told the Verge that he had to develop an app to view the Google Maps Street View data in VR.

He recently reached Chorley, and says he can finish his journey in about 50 days. He added that he can also browse the web during his journeys using the OK Google voice search feature to help him research the towns and landmarks he is passing.

He started his journey back in May.
