Fake Supergirl ad circulates implying she will have sex with her cousin Superman
A fan-made ad for CW Network TV series Supergirl has been altered to imply a less than savoury relationship between her and her cousin, the man of steel.
Superman
A Twitter user created the promo on Tumblr with the words ‘Superman is coming to Supergirl’. However an odd internet denizen made an inappropriate alteration to the copy, changing it to ‘Superman is coming in Supergirl’.
Gizmodo notes that the creator of the original ad, who goes by Sinycath on Twitter, condemned the alteration. She said: “I'm sorry, I just can't stay here. Thank you all for the lovely messages and a big fuck you to who edit the poster and those spreading it.
She added: “I don't have stomach for this... it's too much. Sorry to Hoechlin, Melissa & CW, I never wanted this to happen. I'll be back when it dies.”
He has locked his Twitter account at the time of publication.
The second season of the show is set to commence, following a first season that saw a 20 episode run. It sits within the CW Network’s DC universe alongside Arrow, the Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, detached from DC’s cinematic canon.
