Everything You Need to Know – About Content Marketing: Episode two

The Drum has launched episode two of Everything You Need to Know – About Content Marketing, in association with PulsePoint, a video series designed to give marketers all the essential information they need about this hot industry topic in an easy to digest under-three-minute video.

It is the second series of Everything You Need to Know, developed by The Drum to provide agency execs and brand marketers an easy into to the latest technologies, techniques and thinking in the industry.

The second episode, Targeting Your Audience, covers targeting and the role data plays in content marketing, and explores how effective content marketing needs to be conversational rather than a sales pitch.

Recent research found that 74% of the public trusts content from businesses that aim to educate readers about a particular topic. However, including a product pitch within that same article would bring the content’s credibility down by 29%.

Episode two also explores how programmatic technology allows brands the chance to distribute content on a one-to-one basis – at scale.

EYNTK ‘s aim is to provide marketers with a way to find out everything you need to know about each crucial subject in one short film, something they can watch in the back of a taxi on the way to their next crucial meeting on the subject.

Everything You Need to Know is not designed to be the last definitive word on each subject. Instead, each film is intended to provide the essential information needed to fully understand each area.

Future episodes will cover areas including distribution, optimisation and measurement.
