The global entertainment media company selected Arena Media to manage all media planning, buying, strategy and reporting across A+E Networks UK’s portfolio which includes brands such as HISTORY, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and H2.

The Havas Media Group-owned agency will also be tasked with the launch of A+E Networks’ first UK Free-to-Air channel later this year.

A+E Networks’ senior director, Chris Hancox, said during the pitch process Arena Media “really pushed us to think differently and we came away from every meeting feeling inspired”.

Hancox added: “We’re looking forward to continuing this process and working with Arena Media to achieve an innovative and smarter approach to the media space.”

Elliot Parkus, managing director at Arena Media, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with A+E Networks. As Agents of Change for Growth we look forward to bringing an exciting approach to the media space for A+E Networks with innovation and inspiration at the forefront to drive business transformation.”

Last month Havas Media UK announced that Matt Adams would be taking up the position of chief executive, replacing former boss Paul Frampton who was promoted to chief executive of the agency’s mother brand Havas Media Groupin.
