Omnicom Media Group announces Peter Horgan to replace Leigh Terry who departs for IPG APAC

IPG Mediabrands has announced its new APAC CEO as former Omnicom Media Group ANZ CEO Leigh Terry.

Peter Horgan has been promoted to OMG ANZ CEO role

Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has been quick to announce his replacement as Peter Horgan, who was most recently CEO of OMD Australia.

IPG Mediabrands said in a statement penned by IPG Mediabrands’ Global CEO Henry Tajer, that the business had been after Terry for a while.

“Leigh is a very highly respected and effective executive who has been on our most-wanted list for quite some time and I am very excited he has chosen to join us,” he said.

Terry has a strong digital background, having launched digital capabilities for OMD in London in 2000. He later moving to Australia to launch the agency’s digital, data and direct operations, rising to CEO of ANZ.

Hs replacement Horgan will now have charge of Omnicom Media Group’s assets in Australia and New Zealand and across all brands including OMD, PHD, M2M, Foundation, Dynamo, Resolution, Accuen, Annalect and Airwave.
