Brand and digital agency Tayburn has announced the appointment of a new chairman, with former SapientNitro managing director, Mike Reid, joining the business from August.

Reid spent 17 years at SapientNitro where he was a part of the global leadership team and led the development of the firm’s growth in Europe.

Malcolm Stewart, partner at Tayburn, said of the appointment: “We have refocused the business around a new proposition to build remarkable brands using storytelling and technology and Mike’s experience will prove invaluable.”

Reid said of his move: “The passion that the guys exuded for their business was what really grabbed me. Not only is the team committed to building truly remarkable brands, but the culture of the agency is so important to them and I believe I have some useful experience to help them achieve these aims.”

Tayburn was founded in 1979 and boasts a client list of major blue chips, including Princes Food and Drink Group, Heineken, Toshiba and The Weir Group.
