US Creative Work of the Week: Dunkin’ Donuts - #WTFast
To promote its new On-the-Go app that lets customers skip the line in-store and grab their order right away, Dunkin’ Donuts wanted to create something that would show its fans just how quickly they can now get their morning cup of joe.
The result was a campaign created by DigitasLBi called #WTFast that has been voted by readers as US Creative Work of the Week. For the campaign, the agency enlisted the help of 28-year-old wingsuit BASE jumper Ellen Brennan – aka the world’s fastest flying woman – to complete the “World’s Fastest Dunkin’ Run.” Clad in a pink and orange wingsuit, Brennan jumped off of a French mountaintop to catch a Dunkin’ bag mid-flight at 120 miles per hour.
According to the agency, Brennan caught the bag after 30 attempts, making her the first person to “successfully grab an object during a wingsuit flight.” She also achieved a personal milestone during the stunt by reaching her 1,000th jump.
Aside from a one-minute commercial that shows Brennan catching the Dunkin’ bag, the campaign also includes a 360-degree video and behind-the-scenes footage.
