Social Buzz Chat: U-Dox's Ben Anderson on why quality content is more important than timeliness

What's more important on social – getting posts up quickly or producing high quality content? U-Dox's social media manager Ben Anderson joins The Drum's head of social Adam Libonatti-Roche to discuss this very topic on the most recent episode of our Social Buzz Chat.

"Personally I think quality content is always paramount. If you've got timely content it still has to be good content," noted Anderson.

"Even though I think quality should come over timeliness, I think the quality also comes in the way you format your stuff now. Whether an asset needs to be fit for Instagram, or Facebook optimised, you need to create your content with that in mind," he continued.

Anderson also discussed how he found his way into the world of social media, and the importance of being a mentor to the next generation of marketers.

The series accompanies The Drum’s weekly Social Buzz chat, which takes place every Tuesday between 7-8pm GMT. You can follow and contribute on Twitter using the hashtag #SMBuzzChat.
