Sarcoma UK has appointed House PR to drive awareness and understanding of Sarcoma, which is a cancer that affects the bone and soft tissue. Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma, which is one of the least understood cancers.

With a brief to raise awareness both of the work of Sarcoma UK, and the disease in general, House PR will have a particular focus on Sarcoma Awareness Week, which will take place 4th-10th of July.

House PR will maximise the value of being selected as Downing Street’s Charity of the Year. The staff at the Prime Minister's Office, 10 Downing Street, have chosen Sarcoma UK as their Charity of the Year, in memory of Chris Martin, Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, who died of sarcoma in November 2015.

Lindsey Bennister, chief executive of Sarcoma UK said: “We are delighted to be working with House PR; their wealth of experience in the charity sector ensured we felt they were the best fit for us, and we are sure their efforts will maximise the activity we have planned throughout the summer and beyond.”

Ginny Paton, managing director at House PR, says, “Sarcoma UK has made great strides in terms of establishing itself as a mutually-supportive community for all those affected by sarcoma. The charity is a lifeline for many patients and provides vital support in very difficult circumstances. We look forward to working closely with Lindsey and her team over the coming months to help promote early diagnosis of the disease, and ultimately drive donations which will help fund essential research”

House PR is a creative consumer PR agency in London, working with clients such as OpenTable, Mountain Warehouse and William Grant & Sons.
