She is tasked with growing the agency’s brand in all its markets outside the US – Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa – while also continuing to run PR and marketing in the UK.

Conroy will report to Fern Miller, who became the agency’s international chief marketing officer last December.

She joined the agency as head of PR and communication for the UK in 2012 before being promoted to director level a year later. During that time, she is credited with playing a key role in bolstering the agency’s profile in the trade press as well as steering key initiatives for the business such as its ‘What Next’ events, the launch of the DigitaslBi NewFront and its award-winning ‘Summer of Love’ campaign.

Prior to her arrival at the agency, Conroy held senior roles marketing roles at Condé Nast Publications, Saatchi & Saatchi and Kitcatt Nohr.

Of her appointment, Conroy said: “I’m very happy to have played a part in the DigitasLBi story and to have helped to strengthen our reputation in the UK over the last four years. I’m really looking forward to working with Fern and my colleagues in other regions to further elevate our brand at an international level.”

Miller added: “As we continue to grow our brand and build our reputation across international markets, Julia's track record in building agency brands will be invaluable.”
