Clegg, who was most recently the CEO of Ogilvy Group Vietnam, will lead the UK team as the agency focuses on ambitious growth plans. He will work closely with Toby Southgate, Worldwide CEO, John Shaw, chief product officer (CPO) and Alex Spark CFO, alongside the existing London management team, to evolve structure and deliver a new strategy for growth in London.

Southgate said of the appointment: “I am thrilled that Alex will be leading our UK hub. London is a vital component of our past, present, and future. And in Alex we have found a rare blend of entrepreneur, big agency experience, deep client relationships, and the integration of technology into brand communications”.

Before his time at Ogilvy Clegg held strategic roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and Ammirati Puris.

His role follows the recent appointment of John Shaw to the newly created role of chief product officer, responsible for overseeing the agency’s product, from strategy and creative to design and technology.
