The Drum has opened submissions for the 2016 Digital Census, an industry ranking of the most effective digital agencies in the UK, conducted annually in partnership with the Recommended Agency Register (RAR).

Alongside the census, nominations for the Digerati, The Drum’s annual list of the most influential individuals in the digital marketing space, also opened this week.

Agencies with digital capabilities such as search, UX, mobile and social media are all eligible for inclusion in the report. The most effective media buying agencies will also be reviewed as part of the census, and can enter through a dedicated submissions form.

Effectiveness is judged across two dimensions, with year-on-year financial performance judged on measures of scale, growth and efficiency. Client satisfaction scores are measured through RAR’s proprietary ratings platform, which allows brands to anonymously evaluate the performance of their agencies.

To ensure fair comparisons, agencies are ranked in peer groups against those of a similar size. There is no cost to enter the research or feature in the final report.

Agencies that wish to be considered for inclusion in the report can submit their details through the entry form by Wednesday 13 July.

Nominations for the 2016 Digerati list can also be made until 13 July.

Last year, the list was topped by WPP Digital head Mark Read, who also acts as global chief executive of digital agency network Wunderman. The 2015 list profiled individuals across the marketing landscape, with agencies, brands and ad tech firms all represented in the final feature.

The Digital Census will be published on 28 September 2016, with The Digerati published shortly thereafter.
