Sazio joins from France-based music streaming service Deezer, where he served as the brand’s head of marketing in the UK and Ireland. While there, he helped the platform with user acquisition, retention and brand engagement.

At Azoomee, he will be tasked with defining Azoomee’s user acquisition strategy and identifying the most successful channels to acquire new users.

Estelle Lloyd, co-founder of Azoomee, said of his appointment: “Antoine has joined the team at the perfect moment. During the past five years, Antoine has built Deezer’s subscriber base in the UK from scratch. Antoine’s expertise in building a large user base and then converting them to paying customers is exactly what Azoomee needs now that the product has been launched.”

In partnership with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), Azoomee launched earlier this year in an effort to keep children safe online. The app, which costs £4.99 per month and allows kids to watch age-appropriate videos, play games and draw, was co-founded by husband-and-wife team Douglas and Estelle Lloyd.
