Havas Media Group has appointed Chloe Smith as its new partnership director as part of the agency’s continued investment in its partnership offering.

It comes ahead of the Havas Village Launch in 2017, which will bring all of its communications disciplines under one roof, with the idea of building better connections between people and brands.

In her first agency role, Smith will be charged with leading a team of eight and will be responsible for creating large scale deals across all clients within the group’s portfolio, including O2 Priority and Domino's. Smith will report into Daren Benton, head of partnerships at Havas Media Group.

Smith joins from Disney where she was group head of Disneymedia+, the integrated ad sales and promotions arm. In this role Smith worked on clients’ marketing campaigns for brands such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel, ABC and ESPN.

Prior to Disney, Smith was head of futures at Sky, in charge of interactive, VOD and Future TV advertising. She started her career as a sales executive at Channel 4.

Smith is due to start her new role this week.

Smith said: “Having worked closely with and been so impressed by Havas Media Group during my role at Disney, I’m very excited to be joining such a forward thinking partnership team. At a time when innovative media solutions are at the top of the client agenda, I’m really looking forward to the challenge ahead and can’t wait to get started.”
