Apple is continuing to push celebrity over cohesive narrative in its bid to boost awareness of the Apple Music service, with Ray Liotta and DJ Khaled the latest stars brought on board.

The advert depicts Khaled's attempt to explain the concept behind the music service to Liotta while both are attended to by a bevy of oblivious nail technicians in matching velour tracksuits.

Khaled has risen to fame over the past year courtesy of his popular Snapchat channel and unhelpful self-help advice but is perhaps best known for the ‘congratulations, you played yourself’ catchphrase.

Liotta’s pedigree stretches back somewhat further from a starring role in Goodfellas.

To wrap things up, the madness takes place against a background track performed by the relatively unknown Doobie Brothers.
