Katy Perry swiftly deletes errant Twitter messages following hack
Katy Perry has proven that even the biggest stars on social media are not immune to hackers after her Twitter account was hijacked yesterday for a brief spell.
Perry boasts the most popular Twitter account in the world with 89m followers but they were in for a shock when their idol apparently burst into a series of profanity-laden early morning tweets.
In fact the singer’s account had been taken over by hackers keen to maximise their spell in the limelight by sowing trouble and implying that Perry after her ex Taylor Swift alongside a string of expletives.
These tweets have now been deleted with neither Perry not Twitter commenting on the incident, although speculation suggests that anonymous Twitter user @sw4ylol may have been behind the breach, after a link to a Soundcloud track claimed to be Perry’s next song ‘Witness 1.3.’ was posted on the account.
This tweet has also now been deleted.
