AOL-owned Millennial Media managing director for APAC, Robert Wooflrey, is understood to be leaving the company for a role at Amobee.

Woolfrey set up the Millennial Media business in APAC, which is now part of AOL, with operations in Singapore, Japan and newer markets for the business including Korea, China, India and Australia.

The Drum understands Woolfrey is departing AOL for Singtel-owned Amobee — but at the time of publishing, it was not yet known as to what role he’d be stepping into.

Woolfrey has a strong pedigree in mobile in APAC, having been at Millennial Media since 2011. AOL then paid a reported $238m (US) for Millennial Media in September 2015, bringing the company into the AOL fold.

Prior to that, he was the director for brand advertising sales at InMobi Southeast Asia and before that, senior VP of sales APAC for Zad Mobile.
