The National Hairdressers Federation (NHF) has appointed creative communications agency RBH to deliver a new brand identity.

The NHF is the UK’s largest trade association for hairdressing, barbering and beauty salon owners. RBH and the NHF will conduct research with members and non-members before launching a new brand positioning and visual identity across all channels later in the year.

Hilary Hall, chief executive officer for the NHF, said: “Up against strong competition, we selected RBH to work with us because there was an immediate understanding of our needs arising from their track record of working in the hair and beauty industry. In a creative, fashion-orientated industry high quality images will be a crucial part of our brand, so their work on fashion photo shoots gave them a competitive edge. As a full service agency, the breadth of support they can offer for other key areas of our business was also an advantage.”

Commercial director for RBH, Angel Gibbons, said: “We are delighted to be working with such an established and respected membership organisation, in an industry that we are passionate about. We are really looking forward to creating a strong brand identity to help them reach new audiences and further engage with existing members.”

RBH clients include Duck and Cover, Grand Central Birmingham, Jaguar Land Rover and Peugeot.
