Nintendo could pivot even further from video games with restaurant and medical businesses
Japanese gaming giant Nintendo looks likely to further diversify its revenue stream with a host of unlikely business propositions.
Following on from its unexpected move into third party mobile gaming and a rumoured push to make movies, the company updated its Articles of Incorporation to include a host of new fields.
It outlined new intentions to create “medical devices and health devices”, “computer software”, “eating establishments, stores and entertainment sites” and “licensing of intellectual property rights”.
While the company is widely known for its considerable entry to the video game zeitgeist, it found its roots as a game creator, launched the Hanafuda cards in 1889.
