To launch the new Volkswagen Golf GTI in Argentina, DDB Latina has created a clever campaign for the automaker that shows just how far the car can go in a matter of three seconds.

After installing a high-speed camera into the backseat of a Golf GTI, DDB Latina enlisted the help of a “professional pilot” to zoom the car past an elaborate 100-meter set that the agency created, which featured a number of different settings including a nightclub entrance, city street and factory.

In a matter of three seconds the car was able to whiz past the set and capture its journey on film, resulting in what the agency is calling the “fastest commercial ever” as well as the “first spot shot from a GTI.”

The idea behind the campaign is to show that “three segundos es mucho tiempo para un Golf GTI,” or “three seconds is plenty of time for a Golf GTI.” In a 10-second teaser video (above), viewers can watch the footage that the Golf GTI captured. At the end of the short clip, viewers are prompted to watch the film in slow-motion at miraloencamaralenta.com.

In the slow-motion version, which is more than two minutes long, viewers can take a closer, more nuanced look at the all of the different scenarios and settings that the car passed by on its short drive, while another film gives viewers a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at how the commercial was made.
