Shaw Trust, a national employment, disability, learning and skills charity that helps people to achieve their work ambitions and gain greater independence, has selected web development agency MMT Digital to build one of Britain’s most accessible websites.

The main objective of the project is to achieve the triple A standard of the WCAG (‘AAA’ Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 ‘AAA’), the highest standard of accessibility online.

Marco Muscroft, Shaw Trust’s digital marketing and communications manager, said: “Accessibility is one of our main priorities and it is refreshing to work with MMT Digital who have a proven track record in this area of website development. The best websites grab your attention, are responsive to different mobile devices and deliver a clear message to all visitors. We believe that this project will achieve just that.”

Initial scoping on the project is complete and full development work underway, with the new website expected to go live in July 2016.
