APAC Creative Work of the Week: Eco-Cooler by Grey Dhaka
Grey Dhaka teamed up with volunteers from Grameen Intel Social Business to adress the issue that many people in Bangladesh live in iron houses, making the summer months intollerable.
With temperatures rising to 45 degrees at its peak, the agency opted to find a solution that used materials that could be at hand to people living in these areas.
The solution was a rectangular device that fitted onto windows that had holes that could fit plastic bottles into. The invention used the principle that pushing air through a smaller space cools it down. If you breath with a wide mouth versus pursed lips, you can feel the difference in temperature.
