Morgan will retire from his positions at the DMGT and Euromoney boards on 31 May. He will leave the company on 30 June but will take on an advisory role for a year from January 2017.

Paul Zwillenberg, who is currently global leader for the media sector at The Boston Consulting Group, will take over Morgan’s roles from 1 June 2016.

Zwillenberg, whose previous roles include managing director of DMG Media Digital, formerly Associated Newspapers Digital, has worked closely with DMGT for 20 years.

DMGT chairman, Lord Rothermere, said: “DMGT owes Martin a debt of gratitude for his 27 years’ service and his leadership of the group’s transformation.

"Paul’s strategic insight and close involvement across our portfolio over the last 20 years means that he is ideal for the role of chief executive at this exciting time for our diversified businesses.”
