Filed under, “huh?”, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has launched (or is it “lunched”?) a line of edible nail polish in two of its signature flavors: Original and Hot and Spicy. Not shy to experiment, with the recent release of edible bowls in India to combat excessive waste, the nail polish is going through a trial period and polling to determine which flavor will become fashionable and more widely available in the future.

"Yes, it is actually a real thing," said Anna Mugglestone, marketing and communications director for Ogilvy & Mather Group in Hong Kong, according to CNBC. "I tried it myself in the office when they were doing testing. It tastes like chicken, It's crazy. I don't know how they do it.”

According to Mugglestone, it’s one of those things "to remind the younger generation" of "the great taste and good times the brand stands for.”

But wasn’t that the point of KFC’s Famous Bowls?
