BuzzFeed European general manager Kate Burns departs
Buzzfeed's European general manager Kate Burns has left the business after spending just a year at the publisher.
It is not known why Burns, who joined Buzzfeed in 2015 following stints at ad tech companies Drawbridge and Shift, left the business but in a statement to Business Insider she said: "The European business is doing exceptionally well thanks to the incredible job my team have done in the last year. I know they will go from strength to strength. I am very sad to leave, and I wish them all the best, and I will miss them very much."
Buzzfeed confirmed Burns' departure and said that her replacement is being sought.
"Over the last year, Kate has been an integral part of stabilizing and growing our business in the UK and Europe. We are grateful for the leadership role she has played and wish her the very best in the future," Buzzfeed said in a statement.
