Hearst Magazines UK appoints Hayley Cochrane as head of digital sales

Hearst Magazines UK, which publishes Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, has appointed Hayley Cochrane as head of digital sales, it was announced today (29 April).

Cochrane joins from Hearst US, where she was senior director and business lead for Hearst Digital Media and Hearst Magazines International in its core audience division. Prior to that, she was a director of advertising for a division of Hearst Advertising Worldwide.

Her new role will see her leading the digital sales team for all of Hearst’s brands, reporting directly to Ella Dolphin, group commercial director. She will work closely with all of Hearst’s digital editors and its chief digital officer Darren Goldsby on digital strategy.

Cochrane will also help drive the commercial operations for Shared Spaces. Shared Spaces is a digital product powered by Hearst’s technology platform MediaOS which provides commercial partners with integrated ad formats that inhabit the same spaces as editorial content.

Cochrane said: "Hearst UK is in a great position to leverage its powerful brands, compelling content and smart use of data to cut through the noise and help marketers engage and influence the consumers they want to reach and I am keen to play my part."

Ella Dolphin added: "We are delighted to welcome Hayley to the Hearst UK team to help drive our revenues and strategy. With her impressive expertise and experience, she will be an invaluable asset and will be instrumental to our commercial growth."

Cochrane will begin her new role on 2 May 2016.
