Droga5 has promoted creative directors Rick Dodds and Steve Howell to executive creative directors in its London office.

They will report to chief creative officer David Kolbusz, effective immediately.

Dodds and Howell joined Droga5 New York in 2012 as art director and copywriter, and the duo were promoted to creative directors in 2013. The two have been creative partners for nearly 13 years, beginning their careers together at Saatchi & Saatchi London, where they stayed for seven years before joining Droga5.

Among their recent work for Droga5 London was the 'Make an Understatement' print campaign for Hobbs, which marked the first piece of creative to come out of Droga5 London since it was appointed to the brand's global ad business last July.

David Kolbusz, chief creative officer at Droga5, said: "[Dodds and Howell] are modern day leaders—the perfect mix of suit, planner and creative—and their talent is enormous."

Dodds said: "What’s been incredible about our four years at Droga5 New York is how the agency has grown with ambitious clients, brave work and a lovely team of people who work hard for each other.

"If there’s one thing we’d like to emulate about Droga5 in London, it’s how we grow with ambitious clients, brave work and a lovely team of people."

Howell added: "We know how lucky we are and recognise the incredible responsibility and opportunity we have to make this agency as great as we know it can be."
