Mysterious 'Imagine London Without Gays' ads not quite as wicked as they sound
A mysterious unbranded ad campaign featured on JCDecaux electric billboards has confounded many members of the public with the sentiment “Imagine London Without Gays”.
The bold creative could be contrived by some as a hate speech ad that somehow made it past the Out of Home advertising giant’s selection process – but is actually part of a global campaign from the Tel Aviv Pride Parade 2016.
JCDecaux told Pink News the installation is not homophobic but will at a later stage further promote the festival.
The subversive creative will at a later date inform London’s LGBT community that the parade will commence 3 June.
Below are some of the social media reactions to the drive.
