Ad of the Day: Sky Fibre - X-Men: Apocalypse
Sky has joined forces with 20th Century Fox for the second time this year to create a brand new campaign, this time featuring stars from upcoming release X-Men: Apocalypse.
Launching tomorrow (Saturday 16 April), the ad from WCRS features characters from the film and is set in the library at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, where we see Quicksilver doing his best to impress a girl who is streaming a movie on her laptop.
As her broadband constantly buffers Quicksilver looks around the room and realises the other students are all online too. Using his abilities, he zips around the room, turning off the other devices as he goes, in an effort to save the girl from poor broadband.
Of the ad, Leon Jaume, executive creative director at WCRS, said: “Utilising Quicksilver, a character whose superhuman ability is to move at super speed to promote a product that is all about speed, was an opportunity too good to pass up. Working with the cast and crew from the film itself, we knew the end product would be of film quality.”

In addition to TV the campaign will also feature in cinema, on radio and digital platforms as well as press and out-of-home.
