SAB TV, a Sony-owned broadcaster of Hindi comedy shows in India, announced this week a partnership with Twitter India to create a TV series based on tweets.

Via #TweetAFunnyStory, people will be able to share funny stories (similar to Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Hashtags), which will come to life in a new SAB show, Khidki

After the tweets start rolling in, SAB and show producers JD Majethia and Umesh Shukla will narrow down the entries. To explain the process, Majethia and Shukla will host a Periscope Q&A.

“India continues to witness a social TV movement in India today,” said Viral Jani, Head of TV Partnerships, Twitter India. “With this unique initiative by SAB, for the first ever time one’s Tweet can create and shape their own TV series on a leading broadcast channel – a first of its kind move seen in the country. ”
