ITV reportedly in talks to takeover Canada’s Entertainment One
ITV is locked in negotiations over terms for the takeover of Canada’s Entertainment One, according to reports in Bloomberg.
The commercial broadcaster is seeking to broaden its North American presence but as yet no final decision has been made as to whether to proceed or not.
Neither ITV nor Entertainment One will comment publicly on the deal which could see Britain’s sole terrestrial commercial broadcaster acquire the rights to Peppa Pig amongst other assets.
Entertainment One’s share price rose 6.8 per cent on the news whilst ITV’s remained flat.
