Ad of the Day: Equal Pay Day Europe - Pay me like a man
To mark Equal Pay Day (Tuesday 12 April) European creative agency Mortierbrigade has launched ‘Pay me like a man,’ a provocative film starring transgender model Amazon Eve.
Created in partnership with Equal Pay Day Europe, the film offers a personal insight into the global debate as seen through the eyes of Erika Ervin who goes by the stage name Amazon Eve and transitioned from male to female in 2004, giving up family, friends and a career as a lawyer.
Of the film, Vera Claes, secretary general of Equal Pay Day Europe, commented: “Who better to bring to life the problem of unfair pay than Erika – someone who has experienced the issue from both sides of the table.”
Charlotte Coddens, spokesperson for Mortierbrigade, added: “At Mortierbrigade we pride ourselves on viewing the world differently and that is why the team felt compelled to offer out voices in support of the equal pay issue, telling the story from an angle that had never been explored before.
“Transgender icons such as Caitlyn Jenner, and Erika herself, have put the issues of transgender people on the agenda globally, which is why we felt that Erika’s story was a new way of exploring this inequality from a positive and inspiring angle.”
The film was shot on location in LA with director Koen Mortier.
