Discussions about OTT and video on demand providers are often focused on the larger, more saturated brands, like Netflix or Roku. There are now a variety of smaller, innovative services, that have entered the market.

One of those innovative services is OTT provider, KlowdTV, which is unique because of its offering of live television. KlowdTV has slowly been growing its platform, announcing recently that it had added its third Nielsen-rated channel, Estrella TV, which is in addition to beIN Sports and Azteca America.

As may be clear, the focus is on Spanish-language programming, which The Drum has reported, is a growingly lucrative market. Estrella TV will be offered as part of a smaller, Latino-focused, programming bundle. KlowdTV also offers 60 other channels, including Bloomberg TV and Revolt.

One of the appealing elements of KlowdTV is its offerings of smaller, microbundles, which are only 2-3 channels. One of the major, enduring complaints about cable TV providers are that packages include channels that nobody wants. KlowdTV addresses that complaint. It starts at just $5 a month, offers online DVR, and can be accessed from any device.

Providers like KlowdTV encapsulate the real, tangible benefits of OTT providers. They are far more flexible in terms of their offerings, allowing them to tailor their services to consumers. As more consumers migrate to the internet, services like KlowdTV are well positioned to take advantage.
