Dentsu Aegis has merged two of its agencies in Singapore, creating a new agency that it believes represents the “future state” of media where content sits in the middle.

Dentsu Mobius Media (DM2) is a combination of specialist digital agency Dentsu Möbius and global media agency Dentsu media and will be led by CEO James Hawkins, who was previously CEO of Dentsu Möbius in Asia. James was last week appointed chief digital officer for the Dentsu Media Network across Asia Pacific.

Describing the decision, Hawkins said it created an agency that was able to better answer clients demands, effectively creating an agency that provides creative, media and technology in one place.

“The lines between digital and traditional are fading fast, content is now the connector. That’s why DM2 represents this future state, where the two are no longer mutually exclusive,” he said, “This move enables us to deliver work faster, smarter and create more impact for our clients. Our expanded creative capabilities, combined synergies and dedication that puts digital at the heart of our strategic thinking. This creates the perfect balance of creative, media and technology for the digital economy.”

Based out of Singapore, the agency will work on a combined client list that includes, Toyota, Disney, Mondelēz International, Singapore Airlines and Hitachi. IT has around 50 staff but plans to invest in more hires.
