'Call it out' – Ogilvy & Mather's James Whatley talks promoting diversity on the Social Buzz Show

In the episode of The Drum’s weekly Social Buzz Show, our community manager Adam Libonatti-Roche is joined on the sofa by James Whatley, digital director at Ogilvy & Mather UK.

Whatley chats mentoring schemes for marketers, and discuss the industry's diversity issue; imploring viewers to "call out" anything they see that they think is contributing to the problem.

"Well the important thing is that we call it out, that's most encroaching thing," he said.

"If you're seeing horrendous tube ads, take pictures of them and share them. If you hear a creative idea that you disagree with - because it's not the 90s anymore – then call it out."

The series accompanies The Drum’s weekly Social Buzz chat, which takes place every Tuesday between 7-8pm GMT. You can follow and contribute on Twitter using the hashtag #SMBuzzChat.
