Family-owned rum brand Bacardi has relocated its Europe headquarters, moving its London office from Dorset Square in Marlybone to Spitalfields.

It will let the entire third floor of the newly-developed Steward Building near Liverpool Street on a 10-year lease and position itself in London's East End to help it attract new talent.

Speaking to CityAM, Rory Paton, City agency partner at property agent Knight Frank,: "Moving from Marylebone, their new headquarters building is aligned to their strong brand and positions them perfectly to recruit and retain the very best talent for this dynamic brand."

Bacardi scrapped its global chief marketing officer role last year in a bid to take a "major step forward" in bringing the company’s brand strategies closer to its markets.

The shakeup saw it establish Centers of Excellence in Europe and North America each headed by a chief marketing officer, with Shane Hoyne appointed to lead marketing in Europe and Mauricio Vergara taking the helm for North America.
